Mechanical-Design
This project is a chain‑roller conveyor designed to transport 20 boxes, each weighing 50 kg, over a distance of 6 meters.
The mechanical design includes roller sizing, shaft selection, chain drive specification, and motor sizing to handle the total load and required throughput while maintaining safety and reliability.
CAD modeling and basic calculations were used to verify torque requirements, bearing loads, and deflections.
The full design documentation is available in the linked document from the main Projects page.
This mechanical engineering project is a re‑sizable shop crane capable of lifting between 500–2000 kg.
The design focuses on a telescoping, retractable structure that maintains safety factors across the entire load range, including careful selection of profiles, joints, and reinforcement members.
CAD models and stress checks were performed in SolidWorks to validate deflections and safety under worst‑case loading scenarios.
You can find the full design report and additional details in the document linked from the main Projects page.
